Shooting the charming and talented Hugh Jackman

A few weeks ago The Big Picture had the opportunity to shoot some video of the opening night of Hugh Jackman’s one man show at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco, put on by SHN – San Francisco’s premier theatrical entertainment event company.  He is backed on stage by a full 18 piece orchestra, some smoking hot backup singers, and guest appearances such as Richard Marx!

You may not know this, but behind those devilish good looks there is a Tony award winning theatre actor who has comedic timing, powerful vocal chords, and some slick dance moves. We love how hard he works.  He was at the theatre from dawn until almost midnight. He eats on the set. He works so well with the crew and other principles in the show.  Always a gentleman and he even nicknamed George “Jordan” and used him in the first show.

It’s a great show, and funny.  George has seen this show 4 times in the making and it is so rock solid.  The production team here has a winner, you really must see this show! Get a front frow seat, he’ll come sit next to you.

Marketing video with local flavor and creative character

Check out our spin on creating a marketing video for our client that not only explains the product and the process, but shows how a small business would actually use it, with a dose of humor and entertainment! There are many ways to explain the 1, 2, 3 of what a product does and we enjoy the opportunity to get creative and present that in an engaging and different way.  We created, “Frank the Entrepreneur” to tell us how he markets his scrumptious dogs.

We shot this at the Rosamunde sausage grill in San Francisco – yum!

DemandTec Retail Challenge

DemandTec is an analytical software tool that allows retailers to stay up to date on, and modify, their pricing structure using real time data. As part of their corporate citizenship program they have created the DemandTec Retail Challenge, which allows high school students the opportunity to compete against each other as analysts using the DemandTec software.  Several qualifying students are flown to New York City each year and the winners of the challenge receive scolarship funds and an opportunity to ring the bell at the New York Stock Exchange.

We are proud sponsors of this program, and we’d like to share the video from last year’s challenge with you.  Click the image below to be taken to the video hosted on DemandTec’s website:

Predilect – The Next Big Thing in Security Authentication

We are excited to present a video we have created for Predilect, a start-up driven by serial entrepreneur Jon Fisher. Predilect promises to present a technology that will replace question based security authentication, which  research has shown to be succeptible through data-mining.  It’s not very secure if your same security answers are stored with a variety of companies on servers with varying level of security.

We don’t know the answer, but we are intrigued!

Check out the teaser video that we have created for them, and tune in as the Predilect story unfolds.

Peter Pan the Show – at Ferry Park in San Francisco

If you’ve been down to Ferry Park (across from the Ferry Building) in San Francisco as of late, you may have noticed a giant white tent.  And though you’d be right to stipulate that there is some kind of entertainment going on in there, I bet you haven’t imagined anywhere near the scope of it.

Peter Pan – The Show is in town, and inside that tent are flying actors and a 360 degree screen onto which background scenes are projected, giving a whole new meaning to fully immersive experience.

We had the pleasure of putting together an Electronic Press Kit for them, and we reveal some of the magic in this video.
