A Fruitful Future for Earthbound Farm

Office foodies Alona, Kristen and Willow have long been educating the office on the importance of organic produce.  After our October shoot at Earthbound Farm most of us at The Big Picture have jumped on the organic train too. We were so excited to find out our friends at Earthbound Farm have formally launched a fruit division. Now organic fruit will be easier to get our hands on and because Earthbound Farm is already a leader in organic salad, we have no doubt this new division will be just as fruitful!

The Big Picture in Front of Their Big Picture!

The Big Picture took a walk down Fifth Street today to ham it up in front of a picture of…well, us! As we mentioned last July Circle Bank chose The Big Picture to represent one of their local small business clients in an advertisement. That advertisement is now being displayed on the front of Circle Bank’s Fifth Street branch. Swing by and take a look!

On the Set of the Mancini’s Sleepworld Commercials

We spent the better part of last week filming the new set of commercials for Mancini’s Sleepworld, and boy did we have a blast! Delivery crews were on set all day building bedroom sets and our talent was phenomenal! From two year old Camille to the ninety year old Ceil we could help but enjoy this production take place. We laughed, we worked hard, and at the end of the day we knew we had a finished product we were proud of.

Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011

The Big Picture is proud to have been involved in the nomination of LinkedIn’s Reid Hoffman and Jeff Weiner, who were this year’s big winners at the Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011 Awards. We had the privilege of interviewing both Reid and Jeff who prove to be visionaries in innovative business technology, a true example of what it means to be an entrepreneur. It’s exciting to see a company from Northern California make it to nationals and continue forward on their way to Monte Carlo!

It was also a pleasure to catch up with Aubrey McClendon of Chesapeake Energy, who we would like recognize and congratulate on his win.  It was like dragging a horse to water trying to involve him in the program some three years ago. With the help of the folks at EY in Dallas and their nominators not only is Aubrey now knee deep in the water, he’s a celebrated EOY National winner.

Congratulations to those who were recognized in this weekend’s event.  The economic opportunities and entrepreneurial spirit you share with the rest of us help inspire optimism and promise in the face of a declining economy.

Saturday at the NATAS Gold & Silver Circle “Class of 2011” Induction Luncheon

We can’t think of a better opportunity to be surrounded by legends of broadcast than at The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences San Francisco/California Chapters’ Gold & Silver Circle “Class of 2011” Induction Luncheon. This Saturday George stood amongst his idols, mentors and peers to help honor this year’s inductees for their contributions to Northern California television. George had the honor of being a presenter and inducting the wonderful Suzanne Saunders Shaw. We were also excited to see the Steve Davis Under- Graduate Overall Excellence Scholarship awarded to Mario Ayala from the College of San Mateo and the Jerry Jensen Graduate Overall Excellence Scholarship awarded to Paul Meyers from Stanford University. We are proud to contribute to the future of media creators and look forward to working with the next generation of broadcast journalists in the years to come.

Video cameos with Gavin Newsom and Bob Dutton

In our quest to find dignitaries to honor the attributes of Northern California Entrepreneurs for an upcoming event, The Big Picture has been conducting video cameos and interviews with luminaries around the Bay Area.

The Big Picturewas proud to have spent time with a couple of California’s political leaders at the Capitol in Sacramento with Lt. Governor Gavin Newson and Republican State Senator Leader Bob Dutton.

Since they represent both political ideologies within california it was quite interesting to see that there is solidarity in both their visions for the rebuilding of California’s economy.  We found them to be very sincere, eager, and energetic to rebuild California’s economy with the help of California’s business community.

We’d like to thank both Lt. Governor Gavin Newson and Republican Senate Republican Leader Bob Dutton for donating their time to our video production and allowing us to convey their message to California’s entrepreneurs.
